Quoted from The Guardian, Galena's owner, Carrie Clark found out that her beloved cat was missing on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. The incident got her and her family panicked, so they put up "missing cat" posters around the neighborhood. “Galena, our very shy indoor cat ran away today. She is part of our family and has not been away for a long time," Clark wrote. Luckily, the cat was found alive at the Amazon warehouse but had lost weight and was dehydrated. A new prosthetic from an anonymous donation was given to T-Rex, a South Haven rescued cat, this week because both his front legs were amputated. The environmental team in the city of Fukuyama, Hiroshima, Japan, issued a warning that residents are prohibited from approaching or touching cats roaming around on Tuesday, March 12th. This was caused by the discovery of tawny cat footprints at the Nomura Plating Fukuyama Factory, Japan.   Nomura Plating, via The New York Times The cat footprints were found by one of the factory employees away from the container of hexavalent chromium, a highly potent and toxic carcinogenic material. "We immediately notified the police, Fukuyama city residents, and residents around our factory," said a Nomura Plating Fukuyama Factory representative. Traced from CCTV, a cat was seen running away from the factory. It is suspected that the cat touched the toxic material which was stored in a 3-meter-deep container barrel. Essex University Student Union When his first appearance, the staff took him to the veterinarian to get his microchip scanned, and the owner was able to bring him back home. However, the owner of the black-and-white cat, who lived close to the Colchester campus, decided he could stay because the cat kept coming back. He has been referred to as Campus Cat and has been a member of the university for just over 14 years. The one-and-a-half times Pebbles’ size statue was made by animal sculptor, Gill Parker.
